Teaching English as a Fucking Language is the best career there is. And Taiwan is the best place to do it.
Anyone who walks off a plane and fails to earn 100k+ a month is a moron.

Especially when you dont even need to be a qualifed teacher.
I know a lot of saffies who are not native English speakers and many who used fake degrees to get their jobs and even APRC's. A lot of them married locally so even no degree you dont need to worry.

Stop making gross fucking generalizations about English teachers here. Many are dedicated to, and believe in, what they are doing. The reasons it is ok to teach without a degree are not related to any moral concern about the welfare of the children and are based ignorant stereotypes...such as yours .
And, as I said above, it is the people doing the turning in who are generally the disreputable types . It is they who give the others on this island a bad reputation.
