Trayvon wasn't drunk, he didn't run a sobriety checkpoint, he didn't get involved in a highspeed chase through a major urban center, he didn't flee a policeman and he didn't hurl obscenities at any policemen, IN FACT there were no POLICE in the Martin murder.

MY point was that the 'apron wearing nanny' crowd around here who shake their fist at any whitey done wrong and bemoan trips to the day market where people are now allegedly looking at them funny are being a little bit more humane and kind this time to the accused. Whats surprising is that a person that drunk can ride 10km and not fall over? He was hell bent on getting away no matter what. And that cop was hell bent on capturing him no matter what. Sets the ground up for what happened later. Resisting arrest doesn't get you on any cops good side.
Anyone remember the old days when police at the coast would man armed checkpoints? And several times some car took off and bullets flew? A few people were actually killed. That was running from a checkpoint. This was running away from a lone ARMED cop. I remember getting a perm one day (which made me look like a TW gangster) and driving home late at night to my apt in Wanli. Coming up on a checkpoint and one policeman had an M16 trained on my HEAD, while another approached me in my drivers seat.

Those guys were NOT playin. I would have gotten my head shot if I appeared to be reaching for a weapon on that summer 3am.

Actually, retarded poetry also makes it hurt. Trying to take a cops weapon is most definitely grounds for being shot. The fact that he was only shot in the legs is a miscarriage of justice. What would the crybabies say if he jumped the checkpoint and ploughed into someones wife and kid?

I have zero respect for the local legal system, yet I have even less for braindead people, foreigners or not, who drive totally fucked drunk. I have had a few this afternoon, but I assure you I am not stupid enough to go for a drive. I shall sit at home watching Japanese bukkake porn on Youtube. Luckily the ball and chain is out for the afternoon

I don't think any of his friends, myself included, are cheering his release thinking that it has exonerated him. People who know him are just happy he doesn't have to rot away in a cell while his court case proceeds. That would truly suck. He has done everything right since the incident and being in custody. I know that doesn't mean something to some people, but it's obviously meant enough to the authorities here as he's no longer being detained awaiting trial.

Well he's not worthless to his friends. Bubba 2 Dumb needs his friend to put him back together again. After that he's got a little trial coming up in September. I'm guessing he's be a worried man thinking about what sort of penalties he will get. Heavy fines? Jail Time? Deported? All 3?

I guess unlike other drunks he will plead guilty. Caught red handed so to speak and can't blame it on someone else. Unless he will say the devil made him do it. Its not in his character to be like this. ( which it is )

Shooting Big John was the only logical thing to do to end his flight and flight. I still say John was very lucky to only have been shot once and the police office ws very restrained in not just capping his sorry arse a few more times. Its this logic that kept the cop alive when Big John, according to his friends is trained in combat, may have gotten the officer gun and shot him instead.
