Didn't you used to work at an investment company ( Primasia) till they gave you the boot for manhandling a client?

That's not quite true. I went to the bathrooms and someone was smoking in the toilet.

One guy came out so I accosted him about the smoking to which he replied he didn't smoke. He alleged to my boss that I frisked him and that it was either I got fired or my boss would lose his biggest client. How was I supposed to know this non smoker was my bosses biggest customer. Must have been the other guy in the toilet smoking.

So I got fired on the spot. I hate smokers.

That reminds me of the first time you got fired from the stock brokerage.

The company had just nearly doubled your salary, however you were looking for even more. So you started sending out job applications, using the office email. That was almost as much fun for the rest of us as when you got fired the second time for the frisking incident. What sort of person decides to be his own police force? The idiotic ones that not only accuse the wrong person of smoking in the toilets, you personally assault the wrong guy. We were very lucky to have kept our top client and also not to have to compensate him for your stupid actions.

I don't know why my expat boss expected me to do the site the way he wanted instead of the way I wanted it. It may have caused his customers a lot of problems with the way I was doing it and he had to get another IT company to correct the unauthorized changes I made. Then maybe I didn't give you all the passwords for the server as you requested?
But the other IT company got around that before they blocked all my backdoor access to the site. So no big deal.

Expat bosses are just stupid and don't treat their IT guys with the proper respect we deserve.

I was only working part time and I asked for a Xmas bonus and mid year bonus to be paid on top of my part time work. I think I deserved getting a free partnership in the business as well but that suggestion didn't go down too well either.

Sounds typical of many an IT guy I have dealt with who think they are better than the people who employ them.

They are often doing what they want and not doing what they are directed to do by their employers. Then their bosses find out from other IT spcecialists there are newer better ways than the outdated things their part time IT guys do. Paying for someones ignorance is not a good thing really.

Most of what they do is copy paste. But to to make sure they can try and fuck up peoples businesses if they ever get fired or become disgruntled over not feeling important enough they leave easter eggs and back door log ins. Or they refuse to give all the passwords to the actual business owner, in an attempt of revenge of the nerds.

Only thing is these nerds forget that there are IT guys who have more up to date skills than the outdated skills they have. Any Linux server passwords can be restored or changed by a direct log into the actual server, rather than a remote log in.

I paid to have my own shopping cart hacked? That was an eye opener to me.

Web designers are like accountants, a periodic replacement is a good thing.

According to the web design company, the easter egg was placed BEFORE they got into the web site, IE screwing up peoples businesses as a barganing tool. Not cool, and not smart.

My work for you deserved more respect. This is not the right way to treat people.

I continued to try to get clarity that weekend, pointing out that I was working 45 hours a month, not just 30+ as originally (briefly) mentioned. Over the next few days you avoided any discussion. It's pretty clear you didn't want me to continue in the job.

Nonetheless I did do the work on the site so it was ready to be finished. I just didn't finish it as I was paid to do.

You allege that I was holding your site hostage, but you were in fact holding my employment hostage first. You expected me to continue working with no work agreement, this is manipulative and selfish. You said we were friends, but your actions have shown otherwise.

Your behaviour over the weekend and today is unacceptable. It's even more egregious and strange considering all the times I've stood by your side on this site, looking after your interests.



I know I won't get it, but you owe me an apology and should step back and look at yourself.

A couple of months before you were fired, you went back home to see your family. I recall that you called back and told that your government would not allow you to leave again, due to an unpaid student loan.

The boss of the stock brokerage then lent you the money and had them wired over so you could pay off enough of the loan to be able to return to Taiwan. You on your part would have to accept that he took the loan out of your pay and bonuses until it was paid back.

Not long after returning did you start sending out resumes using the company email system and were fired. I think you were unhappy with having a large part of your salary and all your bonus go to repay debt.

So you went back to Ireland to get an Irish passport and now use that for staying in Taiwan.

Then you beg for money loans from other expats. Now you want funds for day trading purposes?

I recall that, you were bragging about your new passport back after you went to the UK to improve your web design skills - or was it when you went to become a dogsbody at a building site?

At least it was honest work, and I trust you did not dare give the foreman any shit there.
