Bad enough to live in the craphole temporarily, you mean I might have to serve a life sentence?? Good Lord!

Well, unless I'm a Saffie, or an escapee from Greater Socialist Commonwealth of Canukistan, in that case anywhere might be better.

Actually, it's a great way of eventually becoming a PRC citizen, but there is some risk involved.

Well, it is irrelevant because many expats would never renounce to obtain citizenship, even if they never intend to leave this place. Stubborn?

No just cowards who want to complain about how their human rights are abused yada yada yada. Dual Nationality is not a human right.

If you are an immigrant the current rules are you have to renounce if you want citizenship here. Boo Hoo for those few westerners who wont do that. Over 85,000 expats renounced and became citizens here in the same time period 6000 APRC's were issued. And as Taiwan Citizens have visa free entry to most countries in the world they lost their stupid excuses about needing to apply for a visa to "go home" PS if you are wanting citizenship just to live here yet call the other country you came from home, then you don't need citizenship here, cause it's clearly not your home.
