I think Forumease should just ban Jimi permanently. He moderates on a site set up to be an exact duplicate of, and competitor to, Forumease. He only ever shows up to bash the place. Actually, a good idea for both sites would be to dump a fair number of their longer-term mods and start fresh. But it seems both sites love their high-maintenance members, like Jimi, Iron Oxide Lady et al. too much. If you love someone, set them free, I say!

Do a search, dude. That's what the mods ask of you so that you don't make their lives any more difficult than it already is with all the merging and splitting and whatnot. It's not particularly hard. Type in "retire" or "retiring in Taiwan" and you get an awesome list of results.

The fact is, I had done a search and found most (not all) of those results you provided. Unfortunately they are dated and none were of much value - I frankly don't care what people earn or to hear about how they plan to save for the future. I was hoping to stir up some current information about retiring in Taiwan now.

Its not my fault if the latest information is not up to date is it. Fucking Canadian retirees don't deserve to be filching off other countries health systems for free anyways.

I think the latter. The cruel kids have always been out there, only now they have internet anonymity to hide behind. And this anonymity may also lead some others (those with cruel tendencies but too much cowardice to be openly cruel, in the past) to be more likely to express their ghastliness. AT least here Jimipresley has his own picture up on the site so we can all know who he really is.

The truly weird thing is how the trollbullykid jimip had a bunch of people he probably had never met do his dirty work and keep the bully ball rolling.

Seems like moronosa, by outing him, is trying to put an end to that.

A sobering reminder that a little sleuthing can force your virtual identity and real life identity into one. This convergence should give us all pause. If you wouldn't say it in real life, with conviction, you shouldn't say it at all. It also rings true for the breast barers online. If you're showing it online, you might as well do it on a public square.

Thing is, a lot of parents think life online is virtual and it's okay if kids use swear words on FB or twitter or trash their teachers on FB, they think that is 'there' the kid won't do it IRL. Point is that the typing of words, the lifting of the t-shirt, switching on the web cam all are very very real.

Anyways, a (male) friend was telling me, just now, that women are more susceptible to be victims of internet trolling, and I took it at face value but a few mins later it occurred to me, that women can be victimized just as easily in real life. Right?? So basically internet mimics real life. There are no different set of rules at play here. It's exactly like living in a community.

Besides, on a forum like this, the anonymity factor doesn't work, coz most people know each other here or know of each other. It's not like being on youtube and commenting on some video or logging into a newspaper site and discussing opinions anonymously.
