I support this expat and declare him innocent, even if he did do it. I wonder if there is any video surveilance of showing exactly what happened in the moments just prior to his allegedly hitting the cops on his scooter. Maybe its the cops who caused this accident.

We all know how easy it is to "fake" evidence in this country.

Most likely it wouldn't matter if our expat friend is innocent. On my right, a Taiwanese cop national. On my left, an overpaid*, overbearing* foreigner. Who are you going to support?

I've been involved in legal matters where a single anonymous complaint from a Taiwanese national was enough to put a whole process in motion -- even though the police who searched my home in the first place found f***-all nothing to support the claim that was made.

*adjectives from the minds of the Average Taiwanese who gets paid $22,000 a month and believes all Westerners live like a Hollywood movie.

As has been brought up numerous times, and as is mentioned here, The driver was not identifiable in the footage of the actual collision.

Again, the prosecution will be unable to provide any evidence whatsoever to prove that Fat Body Laowai was ever riding that scooter.

I'd say he wasn't even on the scooter when the accident happened.

Really, you mean we are lucky he didn't kill any innocent bystanders by fleeing and racing through the streets to get away from the cops. Who gives a shit if he kills himself?

Then he has an accident and assaults the cops as well? Jesus Wept I do not understand some people here. Lucky the cops only shot him in the leg. In the USA he would have been shot ten times and been road kill.
