I agree, and heap scorn and ridicule on everybody drinking and driving. That said, our friend will be punished enough, however again, blame for that is reserved to the man he sees in the mirrow while shaving. I have met so many people here who come here, teaches, do not learn about how the place works, do not really learn the language, however they have a fun year. Instead of heading home, getting into a career track and what have you not, they repeat and repeat that year ad nauseam, and it's all jolly good, until they are 46, have a swelling gut, and no prospects other than teaching till they drop.
They then blame surrounding society (and pencil penises, it seems on taiwanease) on their predicament, if it is one, and well, you see a lot of it here, even though I do not know which expat site here you see most of it on. And since you mentioned it, yes I do sell things out of Taiwan, and I have been doing that for 10 years. I had to close down my Yangmei office recently, however I am getting by, just.

Yeah, it would have been better if he had just been fatally shot, eh? An extra-judicial execution by the roadside for not stopping at a checkpoint and suspected (at this point) drunk driving. Won't sooomebooodyyyyy theeeeeeenk of the cheeeeeeldren?

What an awful thing to say. Go on up to the brain trauma ward and the ICU in Lin Ko and look at all the smashed in heads, then just the kids. Ask around which ones were involved in drunk driving accidents and then take a look at their families.
As a parent, the children are exactly who I think about. Taiwanese kids run the streets days and night. And I'll defend their rights to play in the streets at midnight before I ever defend or play down some idiot's drunk runner. :aiyo There is a reason the drunk driver laws have been changed recently. The ERs are flooded with the victims of these selfish destructive assholes. No, it would have been better if the grown man had chosen not to get so inebriated in the first place. Then it would have better once drunk if he had called a taxi. You might think B2G was this close to tragedy, well I've been this close to being a victim. I didn't like the feeling that I would never seen my son again, or that my wife would be paralyzed or dead or that they would be without me. I don't have the fingers to count the dead in just the foreign community to come from DD wrecks, in Taipei, Taichung, Kaohsiung and so many Kending that it doesn't even phase me anymore.
You mock concern for children? The fuck is wrong with you? (worry)![]()
Hope that doesn't embarrass you, E.![]()
