Its a strange world we live in where selling your passport might land you with more jail time than the 2 years Zain Dean initially received for being convicted of getting behind the wheel drunk, running down and killing a man, fleeing the scene and trying to get rid of the evidence and blaming someone else for it all.

Zain really buggered his friend and girlfriend on this one. Using her phone to book the ticket? What was he thinking? Sounds like he didn't make the slightest effort to make sure they had plausible deniability. I believe he actually intended for them to go to jail to appease his escape. As Mr Dean said, its the least of his concern.

However, there is one thing I do still believe in, and that is Chris and my GF who are on the whole decent, well meaning, industrious, and friendly. I will miss their generosity of spirit, and their willingness to take it up the arse and do jail time for me.

As has been brought up numerous times, and as is mentioned in the trial accounts, a large number of the cameras at intersections enroute had their data deleted for the time frames in question. The driver was not identifiable in the footage of the actual collision.

Again, the prosecution was unable to provide any evidence whatsoever to prove that ZD was ever at the wheel after leaving the KTV.
