Reputation but we all know both sites don't make any money. Forumosa lost money all the years I was there. The real sites in Taiwan making money are the business sites who don't even get many Alexa rankings.

Bullshit, both sites are losers when it comes to finances. What have you done Pop My Fly to bring in any serious business accounts or funding? You have been a complete failure and even Goose Egg admitted that much to me over a lunch meeting not so long ago. Notwithstanding you were banned Gu's site many a time for issuing threats by PM, for stalking some of the women posters. You even moan on other forums about your being banned on flob again and again.

Global ranks means squat to the income a site earns. Sites that need to link to adult porn to get hits, please tell your advertisers that most "hits" on the site are from overseas, so where are their advertising dollars going? I'll tell you where, nowhere. They get very little return for the money spent. And when your card holders turn up at a restaurant wanting their 10% on 2 pieces of toast costing NT$20, it really let's us know what the rewards are for the advertisers.

I tip when I get good service, not flip our some bullshit expat card expecting a discount. I get discounts at places I eat or drink at frequently without any need of and expat card you can provide. Tony asked me to pay NT$30,000 for a shitty banner advert on the site. I replied to him I would take the NT$30k and take my wife on a vacation to Thailand for 2 weeks instead. Much better value as the site you work for has nothing to offer. I would generate more income from newspaper advertising than on your site.

However I don't advertise my business at all and we only take clients who are referred by existing clients.

Yes, you can only speak to your own situation, and you tend to speak about it too often. Talking about how long you've been on Forumease isn't flattering, either. What can you possibly find interesting in a Taiwan-themed forum s(h)ite populated by people you mostly do not know, so long after you left Taiwan?

If you like their vibe on your site, that's up to you, but I won't post or read a site where they're still allowed to do whatever they like to anyone. I support the consideration of personal real-life factors in making moderation decisions, but those decision have to be based on and respect rules that protect the quality of a site for all.

You do not like a s(h)ite with egos which match your own. You support moderating decisions which are made by you, and which conform with your own selfish interests. You're even prepared to moderate other moderator's posts when you disagree, even if you are the one who is wrong. How dare they oppose you?!

Again, I do not speak for the site in this area, but to me the "ad" situation and why this was temped is an easy question. If it were someone with a Chinese school, a summer English camp, or a chou doufu stand, they would be asked to purchase an ad instead of posting the kind of enormous, unfocused, self-promoting post this was.

You have also spammed the boards with your particular views on language teaching, as well as used the discussions to promote your language teacher training seminars. Why should you be offended? You ban my account on Taiwanease after begging me for 6 months by emails to sign up because of threads on this site. You're not a wonderful person and you can see from the reactions of others on that other site you used to admin you are not really welcome there anymore. Strange how the worms are turning. Also please tell your mates like Thomas to stop telling everyone you are broke and borrowing money left right and center from all even people you don't like.
