THE MOAMAN FILES

Ah, yes. I see your point. My mistake. Guess I got confused with your posting last night of an update, again in temp, where it most certainly should not be.

Though that post you refer to was originally in temp, and as such fair game for banter. You of all folks should well realise that basic premise.
Kindly follow proper procedure, noted in a post by iron oxide lady above, and we shall have no more of this silly crossing of boundaries. These procedures might be new to some, but one cannot bend the rules, otherwise we would be back unto the old site. And I think not many, except maybe a few daydream believers, want to go back there. Thank you for your co-operations, and for letting be well enough alone.

I really hate to have to go through this yet again, but here goes. A. Single thread for promotional use
Each business entity or organization is entitled to a single thread on F.com, in which the OP (the representative of that business or organization) may post pretty much anything he or she likes. Exceptions are, of course, posts against the Rules, posts that contain no new information and are merely designed to "bump" the thread to the top of new thread listings, etc. This single thread is a discussion thread, with discussion limited to the topics related directly to that organization or entity.
B. Promotion of events
Any announcement of events to be held is to be placed in the geographically appropriate Events subforum, as the case may be.

Are you speaking to me or to the moderators? I have no problems with what you say, but when I first posted in temp (the very spot you initially said YOU'D have put it), some moderator took it out and put my post into open. And then split responses off into temp. If I posted responses to Open Posts or Temp Posts in Events, that wouldn't make a lot of sense. But if the moderator wanted to do that, that would be fine with me. I just don't have the ability to do this retroactively.

Um...it's two threads (one, after the Temp thread disappears, since it's on an automatic prune after 15 days, I think.) Please simply discuss your business on the business thread, and anything that pertains to the other thread in that thread.

Again, are you talking to me or other moderators? Because the first question about who split what when came from a moderator, not me. I'm doing my best to stay on topic. Because 914 doesn't appear to be moderating Open Forum anymore, I've also been following up with Tempo Gain via PM. If there's someone else I should be communicating with I guess he'll let me know. Also, I'm sure he'll address any problems you perceive.

Peace![/quote]

You're the one who's asking questions on this thread about where things are. You seem confused about the concept of one business, one thread. Maybe it's the temp thread's existence that is complicating things. I'm sure the mod for Open will trim off and probably temp all this off-topic back-and-forth, leaving the this thread as clean as possible, as a promotional and informational thread about your business -- which is the goal.

Fine, if not "asking", then, to be more precise, "devoting the promotional thread to discussing the location of various posts with others". If I'm someone wanting to know more about your business, I would want the latest post to be about the beach party, not a two-page back-and-forth about who posted what where and why it was moved. It stands to reason that that kind of a clean thread works more efficiently to give people information about your business, yes?

Hey, EYE didn't start the back-and-forth! That started at 5:22 pm today. I got one nice comment on my post, yesterday.

The "back-and-forth" since then has been only from taiwanosa moderators.

In archiving these priceless posts on our beloved forum, it was strange how almost all the characters in the latest melodrama already had MORONosa accounts. What does that say? Well, it hints at a possible solution to a lot of the negativity on the local expat forums. It's time for Forumease to clean house on their mods, especially the Matron of Oxidation. It's pretty clear the ones appointed to clean up the vomitus in the forums are the ones putting it there in the first place.

I'm seeing a lot of hippo icons for it to have been all moderators, but whatever. The excess has now been saved here. Good call by moronosa.
